Rob Zombie’s “Well, Everybody’s Fucking in a U.F.O.” – Review

RobZombieElectricWarlockThe first single release for Rob Zombie’s most recent and upcoming sixth studio album The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, has been released. Titled “Well, Everybody’s Fucking in a U.F.O.”.

The album itself is scheduled to be released on April 29, 2016 and has been described by Zombie as:

“seriously our heaviest most fucked up musical monster to date.”

A little warning the music videos for the track are NSFW and are explicit.

Music Video:

The track offers noted similarity to the sound of the band Primus, whose musical style is difficult to define but does bear the theme of depreciating comedic self-awareness. Which the track obviously carries with the blatant lyrical theme of fucking in a U.F.O.

Primus – Pork Soda

The music itself brings to mind Primus’ third studio album Pork Soda, in terms of its sound.

Functioning as a hybrid to Zombie’s traditional Groove Metal, Industrial Metal and Shock Rock intertwined with Primus’ Alternative Metal and Funk Metal.

The rhythm and the pulse of the track combines a feel of intensity and sonic qualities, whilst offering a funk-like tempo and pace.

It still maintains at its core a sense of comedy, with the absurdity of the subject matter, of which it openly reveals in.

Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor

It is a fun track and offers much promise for Zombie’s upcoming release, especially since his last studio album of Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor was received by generally mixed reviews from critics, which while a good album it arguably felt somewhat lacklustre to some.

So, while the whole album has not been released, the single track offers promise for its release and lets hope the rest of the tracks are as fun to listen to.
